Sister Agnes Zierkiewicz, SSND, Age 95, died December 26, 2008.

Sister, a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for 70 years, touched the lives of many of our children and was on the staff of St. Alphonsus Liguori School for many years retiring when she was 90 years old.

• To honor her at her retirement, a Sister Agnes Scholarship Fund was established in April 2003 to assist school families in need with the cost of providing a Catholic education for their children.
• Each school year, St. Alphonsus Liguori school scholarship grants are provided to families who might not otherwise be able to afford a Catholic school.
• The actual amount of teh scholarship is determined by need; based on financial information provided by the family.

• Tax deductible donations honoring Sister Agnes can be sent to the School Principal.
• Checks should be made out to the Sister Agnes Scholarship Fund.

Parish Endowment Fund was established in honor of Fr. Robert Heinz to assist in funding ministries that teach, promote and share our Catholic faith to parishioners and community.
The endowment fund began in May 2005 after Father Bob Heinz generously encouraged donations to the fund instead of gifts on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.  Over $100,000 was donated to the fund. The monies collected have been in an Archdiocesan fund earning interest.

Now, Parish ministries are invited to submit an application for consideration to receive a grant from the endowment fund.

The Endowment accepts applications once a year, in spring. You may apply for a grant even if your event will not occur for several months. You may apply for a grant if your event and/or need will take place during the Parish's Fiscal Year: July 1 through June 30. Monies can only be used during this time frame.

Ministries are encouraged to submit applications, with proposals that fulfill the mission statement of the Endowment Fund: "The mission of the Rev. Robert Heinz Catholic Formation Endowment Fund is to promote the faith development in the Roman Catholic tradition for people of all ages at St. Alphonsus Liguori Parish."

The Endowment Fund is made possible by parishioners like you. Donations are always welcome. Each year, the Endowment Council meets to review applications and determine financial needs. Application forms are available online (below) or in the parish office.
